Hi, I'm Candie. I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, and then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, for school and work. That was over 20 years ago. Over the years, I have found and lost love, relationships, and friends. In 2004, I met my soon-to-be husband at a nightclub while celebrating a friend's birthday. After a whirlwind romance, we got married in 2007. Life was good, and we welcomed a son that same year. We went on to share 14 years of love, laughter, travel, and enjoyment, watching the kids grow and mature.
Life got turned upside down in 2021 when my husband was diagnosed with cancer and died within 3 months. This rocked my world, as well as our family. Through time, grief, healing, love, and support, I am now ready for companionship. But woah, times have changed since I was last single! I knew nothing about navigating the online dating scene. The horror stories scared me. Why couldn't people meet in person anymore?
My vision is to make in-person connections easier. LovLyfe Now was created for single people to attract and meet each other face to face. Our goal is to eliminate the guess work on whether a person is open to a social interaction. Love to all!

After the military, I decided to move to Northern Virginia with my son, Malik.
